On behalf of the members of the Virginia Association of Hazardous Materials Response Specialists (VAHMRS), I am encouraged that you are considering attending the 33^rd Annual Virginia Hazardous Materials Conference. In partnership with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) we will provide hazardous materials responders with a very high quality training and networking opportunity.

Even as “Seasoned Responders” the very types of challenges that we face have the ability to overwhelm us, at times. This reinforces the need to remain focused on quality training and preparedness. Our ability to successfully mitigate both natural and man-made disasters continues to be a model nation wide.  

The Virginia HAZMAT Conference continues to serve as a “First Class” training and educational opportunity for hazardous materials responders from across the country. This undertaking would not be successful if it weren’t for the committed volunteers from VAHMRS and VDEM.
