Over 160 property casualty IT executives gathered at the Caesars Palace, Las Vegas on October 5-8, for PCI's annual Information Technology Conference. This is the largest gathering of this type of group in the United States.
Highlighting the program was keynote speaker Don Tennant, vice president and editorial director for Computerworld and InfoWorld. Drawing on his 17 years of experience as a journalist covering the IT industry from Houston to Hong Kong, Tennant provided a light-hearted, realistic, behind-the-scenes look at some of the miracles that have shaped an industry that affects the lives of billions of people every day. Following the conference, Tennant wrote an editorial in the November 3 issue of Computerworld on his experience at the IT Conference.
The conference program also offered a variety of formats to enhance learning and discussion. Some of the topics covered included: Green IT, Cyber Security, Innovation and Open Source.
