Michael Beschloss is an award-winning historian and the author of eight books, including the acclaimed New York Times best seller The Conquerors: Roosevelt, Truman and the Destruction of Hitler’s Germany, 1941-1945. His most recent book, Presidential Courage: Brave Leaders and How They Changed America, 1789-1989, was published by Simon and Schuster last year. Newsweek has called Beschloss “the nation's leading Presidential historian.” He appears regularly on Meet the Press, Today, and all NBC network programs. He is a regular on PBS’s The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. In 2005, he won an Emmy for his role in creating the Discovery Channel series Decisions that Shook the World, of which he was the host.
Regis Coccia, is the editor of Business Insurance, a weekly newsmagazine based in Chicago covering commercial insurance and reinsurance, riskmanagement and employee benefit issues. He has been a working journalist for nearly 20 years, the last 15 at Business Insurance. His responsibilities include overseeing the magazine’s editorial operations, directing news coverage and special projects undertaken by the editorial staff as well as writing columns and editorial opinions on various risk- and benefit-related topics.

Anthony Diodato is a group vice president in the Property Casualty Division of the A.M. Best Company, independent insurance information and rating service. He serves on A.M. Best’s Corporate Rating Committee and has oversight responsibilities for the property casualty insurance companies in North America. Diodato has been employed at the A.M. Best Company since 1996. Prior to joining A.M. Best, he held management positions in the finance and internal audit divisions of several national carriers.
Damien Magarelli is a director in Standard & Poor’s Financial Services Ratings Group. He has primary responsibility for evaluating insurance and reinsurance property casualty company ratings. Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s in 2000, Magarelli held positions in the life insurance industry and within bond insurance, where he was actively involved in financial modeling, financial reporting, and capital management.
Dr. Michael Mandelbaum is a professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and one of America’s leading authorities on international affairs. He is author or co-author of 10 books, including The Ideas That Conquered the World: Peace, Democracy, and Free Markets in the Twenty-First Century. His analysis of global challenges are informed by his experience with the U.S. government in the Office of the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, working on national security issues.
Michael McRaith is director of the Illinois Division of Insurance, within the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, having been named to the position by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on March 14, 2005. He is an attorney with 15 years of legal experience and has practiced commercial litigation with an emphasis on legal matters involving regulated institutions, including the insurance industry. He was a partner at the national law firm McGuire Woods, LLP.
Steven Monahan is president and chief operating officer of Auto Club Group, a position he has held since April 2000. Prior to joining Auto Club Group, he worked for Allstate Insurance Company for 13 years. He is currently chairman of the board of Auto Club Insurance Company of Florida as well as a board member of PCI, Independent Statistical Service, Inc. (a PCI subsidiary), AAA Life Company and Auto Club Trust.
Roosevelt C. Mosley, Jr. is a principal and consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. and has worked in the insurance industry since 1993. He is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He currently serves the CAS as a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. Mosley also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Black Actuaries Foundation.
Karl Rove, former deputy chief of staff and senior advisor to President George W. Bush, oversaw the strategic planning, political affairs, public liaison, and intergovernmental affairs efforts of the White House. Rove was the architect of the President’s 2000 and 2004 campaigns and, for the 18 years before the start of the 2000 campaign, president of Karl Rove + Company, an Austin, Texas-based public affairs firm that worked for Republican candidates, nonpartisan causes, and non-profit groups. He was a member of the Board of International Broadcasting, which oversaw operations of Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty, and served on the board of the McDonald Observatory.
