Hotel Room Rates and Reservations
The ISHRS has secured the following discounted group rates at the Venetian. These rates are valid for the dates of September 21 through October 3, 2007, however, these group rates are limited to the number of rooms in our group block, and there is only very limited availability of the group rate on the pre- and post-meeting dates. Make your reservations early for best availability.
ISHRS Group Rate:
$239 single/double, standard run-of-house suites
All rates are subject to Clark County tax, which is currently 9%.
When there are more than two persons in a suite, each additional person is charged $35.00 per night with the exception of children 12 years of age and under who are staying with an adult. There are also other, larger suite types available. You may inquire with the hotel regarding these suites at the hotel’s prevailing rates.
Please make your reservations early! These discounted rooms are available through August 27, 2007, or while availability lasts.

Hotel check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out time is 11:00am.
Hotel Deposit/Guarantee
A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold each room reservation and will be applied to the first night’s stay. Guaranteed reservations are held until midnight on the reserved day of arrival. To avoid a cancellation charge of one night’s room deposit, reservation cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to your arrival date. Please call the hotel directly to cancel your room reservation and obtain a cancellation confirmation number.
AIR TRAVEL INFORMATION
The ISHRS has made an arrangement with Chenal Valley Travel to book your airfare to the 2007 ISHRS Annual Scientific Meeting in Las Vegas, if you choose. Chenal Valley Travel has the capability of accessing every flight on every airline for any itinerary immediately in order to find you the best schedule, lowest fare, or meet any of your personal criteria when traveling. In addition, they are experts when arranging first and business class travel at deeply discounted rates.
ISHRS group discounts on American and United Airlines have been arranged depending on the type of ticket. In order to benefit from these discounts or other low fare tickets that may be available from your city, contact Chenal Valley Travel and ask for the ISHRS travel desk. A $20 ticketing fee will be assessed for each ticket you book through Chenal Valley Travel. Note: The ISHRS is not affiliated with Chenal Valley Travel. For each meeting we arrange for discounts through a travel agency as a convenience for attendees.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL
The Venetian Hotel Resort Casino is located 4 miles from McCarran International Airport.
Taxicabs: Taxicab is the most readily available form of transportation from the airport to hotel, but be prepared for possible long taxi lines. It is not unusual to wait 30-60 minutes in the taxi lines – they move fast, but are very long. The taxi fare is approximately $15-20 each way, before tip. Most Las Vegas taxicabs do not accept credit cards, so be prepared to pay with cash. Advise your taxi driver that you prefer to take local streets versus the expressway, as the local street route is more direct and less expensive.
Airport Shuttles: The Venetian does not offer its own shuttle service. There are hotel shuttle services available in Las Vegas, but note that they will stop at many hotels, making it a long ride.
